You can make a difference.
Your involvement as a parent is crucial to making the Brown Station Parent Teacher Association partnership a success. We not only seek your membership but your participation as well. This does not mean that you need to attend every meeting or be highly active in the planning and execution of events and activities. Instead, it provides a forum for you to bring your thoughts, issues and ideas to the school and an opportunity to better understand what’s happening at Brown Station.
Helping out in your child’s classroom or volunteering to help the teacher symbolizes your commitment to your child’s education. Many parents are unable to come to the school during the day for a variety of reasons. There are ways to help that can be done in the evening hours. Ask your child’s teacher.
Attending the PTA and school events allow a chance for you to informally interact with your child’s teachers, the administration and other parents. You also get to see and/or meet your child’s friends. Most of all, your presence reinforces the message that you have a vested interest in your child’s education.
It is the desire of the PTA to increase its membership and member involvement this year. We look forward to receiving your enrollment form so we can add you to our membership roster.
